Learning and Skills and Initial Teacher Education Inspectors

We welcome applications from Learning and Skills inspectors and ITE inspectors, as well as those for maintained and independent schools.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from people from minority ethnic backgrounds.

New rates for inspectors

Maintained & Independent

Team Inspector – all inspections: £355 per day.

Lead Inspector S5 and S162a: £395 per day.

Other Section 8 Lead Inspector role including all monitoring visits: £395 per day.

PIE / EYFS inspector: £250 to £300 per day

Independent schools Lead Inspector for monitoring, preregistration, emergency visits and new school inspection £395 per day.

Subject and Aspect Survey work: £355 per day.

S5 Schools Report quality read per report: £110 per report read (A S5 report quality read is deemed to take 1/3 of a contractual day).

Independent Schools inspection report, monitoring, preregistration and emergency visit report read £130 per read.

OREP Inspection £300 per day.

OREP report read £82.50 per read (An OREP provision report read is deemed to take 1/4 of a contractual day).

L&S

Learning and Skills Team Inspector – all inspections: £465 per day.

ITE Team Inspector – all inspections £420 per day.

CAA Team Inspector – all inspections £395 per day.

L&S reads:

£230 for a large college

£150 for a small college/ other provision

Quality Readers

£110 per maintained school report

£155 per independent school report

£82.50 per OREP report
