CfBT Inspection Services are the inspection arm of CfBT Education Trust, a not for profit provider of education services which sets out to advance education for the public benefit.

Our main aim is to improve schools and other institutions through high quality inspections.  We have strong values and a clear vision to deliver a world class inspection service that will directly contribute to improving the quality of teaching, learning and care of all children, young people and adults in settings, schools and colleges.

CfBT first delivered inspections on behalf of Ofsted in 1993.  Since then we have developed our experience and expertise in the field of school evaluation and improvement to become one of the UK's first major providers of inspection services.  CfBT Education Trust has been successful in bidding for the recent tender to manage inspection services on behalf of the office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted).  For the next six years CfBT will be responsible for delivering inspection services in schools (both maintained and independent), the learning and skills sector and initial training education.

With our inspectors working in partnership with HMI, we plan to drive forward with new ideas and ways of working to implement the revised Ofsted Section 5, Section 162a and L&S inspection systems.
